The Health FirstSM campaign is a 12-week, team-based program designed to lower the risk of metabolic syndrome in employee populations. Dietitians specially certified in the Health First program lead dynamic weekly presentations. Employees register online as a team, create a team name, and earn points for attending weekly sessions, meeting for biometrics individually with a registered dietitian, exercising, and completing evaluations. The program content is based on evidence-based guidelines supported by the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Educators Association, and American Cancer Society.
An online component allows participants to view their Personal Health Data, which is electronically transferred into the system based on actual measurements. The data reflects biometric data culled from three checkpoints with the dietitian.
